Archi keeps the record. Neuor does the work.

Archimedes and Neuor logos in white over a glowing data vault in a dark hall

A broadband deal still dies in the same places it always has.

A change-of-control clause nobody read. A subscriber file that does not match the billing system. A committee memo written the night before from three versions of the model. A data room link that expired the week the lender asked for it.

Software does not fix any of that if the software is a folder with a login. So Standard did not buy a CRM and call it a strategy. We split the work in two. Archimedes keeps the record. Neuor does the work between the meetings. Neither one buys the network. That is still the job of the people in the room.

The filing cabinet does not underwrite the deal

Most firms bolt a tool onto an analog process and then hire someone to keep the tool honest. Over time the tool and the process drift apart. The model lives in a spreadsheet. The memo lives in email. The data room lives in a link. The one person who knows the whole deal is on a plane.

That drift is expensive in our market. Standard buys independent fiber networks and fixed wireless operators, many of them owner-run for decades. The records are rarely clean. Billing systems, plant maps, pole agreements and customer counts often disagree with each other. A consolidator that buys dozens of these businesses cannot afford to rebuild the truth from scratch on every deal, and it cannot afford to lose it after closing.

The answer is not one more tool. It is two jobs, held apart on purpose.

Two jobs, not one tool

Archimedes is the process. It is Standard's private equity operating system, running at archi.standardfund.co. A company, a contact, a document and a stage are the same objects on the first call and on the day of committee. The path is defined. A deal moves from first contact through diligence, committee, purchase agreement and close. An investor moves on a separate raise path and is never treated as a seller. The server, not the slide, decides who can approve.

Neuor is the operating cadence. It is the agent layer. Named agents sit in named jobs (investment, operations, legal, finance, people) and do the unglamorous middle of the firm. They read the file. They check the number. They draft the note. They hand the question to the person who owns it, with the evidence attached. They remember how Standard writes, so the firm does not re-explain its format every Monday.

The split is the point. A system of record that nobody works becomes a museum. A clever agent with no record invents. Standard uses both, and it does not let either one pretend to be the other.

What Archimedes holds

Archimedes follows a deal across four stages, and the record does not reset between them.

Source. Targets, owners and the outreach that starts a conversation. Fundraising and acquisitions run on separate tracks. An email to a limited partner is not an email to a founder, and the system will not let anyone pretend otherwise. Suppression and unsubscribe requests are enforced on the server, not left to whoever is sending that day.

Diligence. The data room is a store, not a download folder. Documents are read, their text is extracted, and a PDF can be reviewed without leaving the building on someone's laptop. An agent can summarize a document. The summary is a draft. The document is the evidence.

Decide. Committee is a packet, an agenda, a vote and an audit trail. The memo can be assembled quickly. It is not an approval until a person with the authority says so. After a yes, the path is still a path: approved, then purchase agreement, then closing, then portfolio. A score is not a close.

Own. After the wire, the record keeps going. KPIs, covenants, capital calls and the initiatives that were supposed to create the value in the underwriting sit on the same platform as the deal that justified them. That is how a consolidator notices early that the business case and the business have come apart.

What Neuor does

Neuor is not a chatbot parked on top of the file. It is a desk of specialists.

Illustrative Neuor desk. Every handoff carries the question, the evidence, the owner and the decision needed. The agent key cannot approve or vote.

The investment question goes to the investment seat. The legal question goes to counsel. The operating question goes to operations. Every handoff is written down: the question, the evidence, the owner and the decision needed. No one improvises a second version of the work in a side chat and calls it done.

The agents have tools, and the tools are the difference between a paragraph and a result. In practice that looks like this:

  • Record hygiene. An agent reads the contact file and finds that two records are the same owner under different names, before an outreach sequence emails him twice.
  • Documents that stay documents. It pulls a filed agreement and turns it into a working document without restyling the contract into a memo, so counsel reviews the actual language.
  • Notes the committee will read. It drafts the note in the format the firm already uses, with the source for every figure.
  • Numbers checked at the source. It checks a number against the underlying file instead of remembering one from last quarter.

None of that is glamorous. All of it is where deals slip.

Assistance is not authority

Neuor also has a hard stop.

The key an agent uses on Archimedes cannot approve a deal, cast a committee vote, manage keys or change the firm's settings. That is not a missing feature. It is the rule.

A recommendation is not an approval. An approval is not a close. The separation is enforced in the system, not in a policy document someone signs once and forgets. That is what lets a small team use agents aggressively: the agents can do a great deal of work precisely because they cannot make the decisions that matter.

What we will not claim

We will not tell you an agent scored 247 opportunities this morning. We will not tell you a model rebuilt itself in a few seconds and present that figure as a fact about a live deal. Illustrations are useful on a product page. Underwriting is not an illustration.

The public description of Archimedes states the intention: ingest, reason, decide. The operating rule inside the firm is narrower, and better. AI output is assistance. Scores, profiles and memos are drafts for human review. Documents that may carry injected instructions, and records enriched from outside sources, are inputs, not verdicts.

Why this matters to sellers and investors

For an owner selling a network, it means a buyer who reads the whole file, asks precise questions once and keeps its commitments through closing. The process is defined before the first call, not invented deal by deal.

For an allocator, it means the underwriting, the committee decision and the post-close performance live in one record that can be inspected. The case for each acquisition can be checked against what the business actually did.

The plant, the subscribers and the rights-of-way are still the asset. The advantage is whether a firm can see them clearly, on one record, with the work moving while the partners are in the room making the call.

Where we sit

Standard is building the institutional consolidator of broadband and telecommunications infrastructure in North America. Archimedes is where the firm keeps score. Neuor is how the firm does the work between the meetings.

The software does not buy the network. It makes it harder to buy the wrong one, and harder to lose the thread after you buy the right one.

If you own a network, our WISP exit guide lays out how we evaluate one. If you allocate capital, the approach is on our investors page.
